Peter’s Brief Bio
“The Thrill of Victory and The Agony of Defeat”
Peter Kalogridis is a native Floridian born and raised in the Citrus Belt in Winter Haven. Peter worked in the family citrus grove business as a Citrus Buyer. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture in 1981. As a result of the devastating freezes in the early eighties, Peter moved to Ocala in 1986 and became a Farm Manager for an ornamental oak tree farm before returning to Central Florida in 1996 to work as a Pest Management Technician on the opening team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Peter was later promoted as the Staff Agronomist for Disney’s Horticulture and served in that capacity until he returned to the University part time and received his Masters Degree in Agronomy in 2005 where he published a peer review technical report concerning Environmental Quality. Upon graduation Peter worked as a Certified Conservation Planner for the National Resources Conservation Agronomist for Isleworth Golf and Country Club, Inc. in Windermere. Currently serving as Conservation Agronomist for Dayspring Agronomincs LLC providing soil and water bio-augmentation services.
