Putting Conservation Practices on the Ground

The only thing certain in Florida is change. Today the growth of Florida`s real estate sector is placing new demands on the states natural resources primarily drinking/swimming water, fertile biologically active soils and clean air. Impairments typically involve the distribution of crop fertilizers and irrigation management within watersheds. Over large acreage nutrients, sediments, pesticides and construction debris have the propensity to move off target and escape into surface and ground water.  Fortunately, biological treatments utilizing beneficial soil microbes are now cost effective and scalable in commercial crops such as sports turf and landscape sod, fruit crops, peanuts and field crops, bedding plants and landscape ornamentals.
